Founded by Kate Leydon — Healer, Empath, Visionary
Kate Leydon was born an empath with strong intuitive abilities — a knowing she carried quietly through twelve years in the professional beauty industry. After a year dedicated to her own healing, she returned with clarity: she would merge everything she knew about the beauty world with everything she had discovered about the healing world.
The result was Ruby Room: a space grounded in the belief that healing is not a luxury, it is a necessity. A space where ancient rituals are honored, modern needs are met, and every client's experience is shaped by who they are — not by a service menu.
Kate remains at the center of Ruby Room's philosophy, its team culture, and its continued evolution as Chicago's most distinctive wellness destination.

The Ruby Room
Ruby Room has occupied the 2nd floor of 1743 W Division St since 2002. The space is deliberately quiet — designed for stillness in the middle of one of Chicago's most alive neighborhoods.
Warm lighting. Intentional scent. Private treatment rooms. An environment where your body can begin to let go before any session even starts.
You will be welcomed, cared for, and never rushed. Arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in. Water and quiet space are available before and after your appointment.
